2001 Aztek windows buzz

Sounds like your drivers side window regulator motor gear is bad as far as the other windows drivers door switch is most likely bad if you dont have experience working on electrical or have never taken apart a door panel I would recommend seeing a mechanic. To check the switch you have to disassemble passenger door panel accesa the window regulator motor disconnect the weatherpack connect hook up multimeter and test for power while having an assistant push the window switch down

How do i remove rear passenger door panel on 2006 freelander

I just finished doing this so I am going to put the steps in order and very clear:

Remove the one screw which hold the plastic under the door latch. Do this first since if you take window control piece out first and you drop the screw it ill go into the door and you might have trouble finding it later.

Pull up on the plastic with the window control, using a flat head screw driver, come up easy. Unplug the wire.

Pry off the cover on the door pull arm, start from the bottom comes off easy again with flat screw driver.

Unscrew the three screws (large flips head), Pull out the screws and save so you don't loose.

Start from the bottom and pull out the panel now from the door, using a weed puller or a long flat head screw driver. Most come out OK, if they come off the panel you can reattach to the panel.

Lift panel off door and up and it is done.

Window motor assembly is attached to the door by 3 bolts. It is attached to the window with one other bolt (10 mm, all of them). Window needs to be down 2/3 of the way so you can access the bolt.

The motor and other parts comes out of the hole pretty easy.

Install new assembly, attach wire, lower window so the connector for the window attachment is moved down (it comes in the up position).

Attach window with the bolt. Attach the assembly to the door (3 bolts).

Put the panel back up in reverse order.

I have taken a lot of doors apart and this was actually one of the easiest, Freelander is a piece of junk in maintenance department so good to know how to take it apart. Have to take the other side apart soon to fix the door lock actuator.

Two weeks ago the drivers side rear wind stoped operating and is in the up position. All other windows were working ok. Yesterday the passanger side rear window stoped operating. Fuses are ok and I hear...

Not really i think your right, it sounds like both motors went bad a quick little test i always do is hold switch down and bang on the inside of the door at lower front of door and sometimes it shakes motor and it starts working then i know for sure its a motor, this save cuatomers money , they dont pay to remove panel and testing, try it . hope this helps.

I replaced the driver's side window motor because

I don't know everything there is to know about window motors, but I have seen this before, both mine went out at the same time, not together but a couple weeks apart, like they were dated. Anyway, I replaced both motors, then both operators. Now they both work fine. I would hang on to the old motor, you never know, it might be good, You might have a bad switch on the door, I had to take my switches apart on my other truck and clean the contacts, got both motors working again, Hope this helps.

1994 geo prizm windows in back go down but not up.

is this on BOTH windows?? it is odd they both failed at the same time.
If you here the motor running there is something inside the door has let go or falling off. the door will have to be taken apart to be fixed.
this is what's inside YOUR door. (passanger side, drivers side is just a mirror image)
44e5675.jpg 1. there could be a problem between the motor gear and the moon gear. or 2 (most likely) the regulator arm has come off the window track or the window track has come off the glass.
hope this helps.

Drivers window won't role up or down

I think I know what your problem is.... It sounds like you need a motor/regulator assembly. There's a cable that attaches the motor to the regulator (part that moves the window up and down ) power is transferred this way. over time the cable breaks allowing the glass to fall to the bottom sometimes and won't go up. electrically it's ok because you can hear the motor run. (good job on the description by the way :) ) you will need to replace the regulator.

If you are technical inclined, you can replace it yourself if you like. most of the work is taking the door panel off. With this kind of stuff I recommend that you don't attempt this one unless you've taking a door panel off before. If you decide to do it, invest in service manual to assist your work. It can be fairly difficult of you've never done one before.
