If you took your side panels off, put them back on and have a look on the bottom of the dash around the feet area

I need to installl a cd player in my car and i cant get the thing that holds the radio and heater off.

You will have to remove the dash cover to gain access to that bezel piece. That bezel actually extends around the instrument cluster and and radio area, all one piece. The dash cover is held on by a series of torx screws located under the top defrost vent, side access panels (when you open the car doors, there is a panel on each side). In the glove box area and there are two 10 mm bolts that are tucked up under in the glove box area but accessible. After you remove the dash cover, you can remove the torx screws that hold the bezel in place. On the bezel down by the radio, there are spring clips that hold that part of the bezel. Remember when replacing the stock OEM radio, you will need to buy a mounting hardware kit, wiring harness kit and antenna kit for the Cavalier that will work with your new cd player.

Could get the radio out trying to replace with a new system.

You could'nt* get the radio out to replace it? If thats what you meant, You will have to take the section of the dash out, the front panel that goes from your ash-tray to the left side of your steering wheel. (You will have to turn the key and shift into a gear that allows you to remove the cover over your steering column. and turn off your hazards after :P) The stock radio should be able to slide out about 1-2 inches and then it wont go any further. (took me over a month to figure this one out) on each side of the radio there is a clip, (can't remember if you have to push it in behind the dash or if you can do it infront) once you push them in, simply pull it our carefully while holding the clips in. Once out, the wire's you will primarily need are the; Black-Ground, Green/yellow stripe-Switched power, Yellow/pink(or blue not sure exactly) stripe-Constant Power, Blue-Antenna Power. The Speaker wires should be easy to figure out, and the other 2 or 3 wire's are for other things, not sure off hand what they were for, amp or something.
Warning: BE SURE TO DISCONECT BATTERY BEFORE REMOVING THAT SECTION OF THE DASH IF YOU HAVE A PUSH BUTTON FOR 4-WHEEL DRIVE. my 4 wheel drive hasnt worked since I changed my cd player, and I dont have any blown fuses, so not sure what happened there.

Can not find where to plug CD player to the harness

does the radio have cd changer controlls? if so you may find the wires in the trunk if not you will have to buy a harness from ford and make sure the cd changer will work with the stock radio. Call the local ford dealer parts dep but make sure you have the vin number from the car with that they can look up the car and tell you what options where installed from the factory and can order the correct cable

I AM TRYIN TO INSTALL AN AFTERMARKET CD PLAYER IN MY 2006 CHEVY C

Some cobalts have the controls on the radio - some on the steering wheel depending on your trim level.

After you have the 2 side panels off - the radio trim will simply pull off in the same manner.

Radio reciever ....cant get it out

First remove the selector trim panel for the Auto tranny or gear shift and boot trim panel for a manual tranny. remove the cigarette lighter assembly and disconnect the connector. remove the 2 radio mounting screws. You need the insert two radio removal tools T87p-19061 or equivalent into the face plate holes until you feel the tension of the holding clips. If this is the first tome removing the radio, the flashing of the bezel facing has to be broke. This may require extra force. flex outward on both sides of the radio simutaneously and pull the radio out using the tools as handles. Then dissconnect the electrical connectors. Hope this helps.
