Question about 2004 Toyota Sienna

1 Answer

Sienna 2007 not starting

I turn on the key and makes an unheard-of-not-so-loud-noise. Unheard of because it doesn't sound like an empty batery, but that might be it too. Grateful for any advice anyone can offer, so we can get the car rolling, at least to a workshop. Thank you.

Is it a buzzing noise? If so, it's the starter relay bzzing because the battery is almost dead. Do headlights come on? If no, charge battery, take ot shop to see if battery is dead or not charging due to bad alternator.
Or, bad starter relay

I changed the starter on a 1998 Chevrolet lumina and now all I get is a clicking sound. What is wrong?

Getting a bad rebuilt starter is not unheard of. I got 4 of them in 1 day before I found one that worked. Those were form Checker Auto. After # two I made them check them at the store. Good thing to. Anyway before you remove it for return make sure your battery is puting out a good strong 12Vs. If voltage is low some starter will make only a clicking noise.

My mechanic is saying I need to replace the alternator and battery in my 2007 Chrysler Pacifica. I only have 79000 miles -- isn't this a little soon for the alternator?

It is a little soon but not unheard of. If you start your vehicle and disconnect that battery does it DIE? If it does either the Alternator or the the voltage regulator is bad. If it doesn't then most likely it is just your battery, not common in one this new but surely possible.

Sounds like you have a faulty Steering lock. Try wiggling the steering whell while turning the key, also make sure gear shift is park.

92 cadillac deville that will not start.

It sounds like your batery is empty.
Or maybe your start rotor is a bit stuck.
if so give it a hit with a rubber hammer that can help loosen it.

Brakes are making loud grinding noise when slowing down to stop or on an incline

Ok, it could be a few things, 1. bad break caliper. 2. if you have ceramic breaks, it could be a cracked brake pad, and if they are not ceramic they can still be cracked. 3. if you drive a lot then it could be that you need new breaks again.. 4. also have your back breaks checked along with the front ones..
