Question about 2007 Suzuki XL-7

1 Answer

No power coming from power accessory plus

Tried plugging in a satellite radio in front power accessory plug and there was no power. Then tried second row seat and rear plugs and got no power. Checked fuse descriptions in owners manual and found nothing listed for power accessory plugs/outlets. Leaving in morning for long trip and need to fix.

I have the same problem the front two outlets don't work but the rear one does. I checked the fuses under the dash and they are fine.

SOLUTION: In the fuse block under the hood (driver's side) - Circuit #3 ("AUX") 20 amps. The rear power outlet circuit is #40 ("PWR") 20 amps.

How do I hook-up satellite radio

Although it's about $50, this is the best FM transmitter I've found so far. I use it primarily with my MP3Player, but the concept is the same for your satellite radio. It should have a 1/8" audio plug.
Simply plug this little adapter in your cigarette lighter, plug the 1/8" cable between your Satellite radio and the adapter, and tune your radio to the station on the adapter (you can choose another station if there is already something playing on its default station).
This works for me. I tried other brands and they all eaither had poor reception or died within a month or so. This one has been working for me for well over a year now GOgroove FlexSMART X2 Wireless In Car Bluetooth FM Transmitter with...

Need to know how to remvoe radio to install satellite radio plug

On most vehicles there are four little holes in each corner of the radio. there is a very cheap special tool that u need to insert into the holes. You can pick this tool up at any automotive store. its very easy.

2003 sunfire radio display does not work, but radio does.Help?

Light is burned out in radio. You can replace the front face of the radio from a good one with a good light and put on your radio and the radio will light up and work in your car. If you replace the whole radio you will need to have the radio unlocked.
Remove your radio. Locate a used radio at a wrecker. Put your car is accessory key postion and plug in the radio at the wreckers. if it lights up it is good. Remove the bottom panel on both radios and unplug the 2 wiring plugs that come from the front face. they are side by side. Unclip the front face and plug back into your radio. Replug it in and snap the bottom back on your radio. Plug back in and it will now light up your radio.
The whole procedure should not take more than 15 minutes and all you need is a 7mm socket and a flat screw driver.

If you are more daring you can also buy a cheap am/ fm only radio with a light and replace th circuit board of the back of that one to the circuit board on your radio and use your own front face again. It willl light up and all your items will function regardless of whether the doner board had cd or not. Time on this is 3o minutes and you need a small wrench to remove the screws in the board.

Good luck. I replace about 10 on these each week so the wreckers in my locations no longer have many low end radios avalialbe either. This is the lowest cost way on fixing this issue.
