It is most likely a problem at the relay module located in center of dash near radio. There are 2 relays there, battery saver and accessory delay that feeds both systems. It make be a loose connection or a relay going south on you.

I have a 2000 ford Explorer with a intermittent problem the 4 high and 4 low flash and 4 wheel drive will not work at the same time the power windows will not work sometimes if I do a restart it will

Only possible thing would be ground wires. And these wires would be at the battery or engine the body grounds,.. Check all of them. Severall in the engine compartment, in the cabin area there are several, most likely near the kick panels on each side. some near the steering column. Also check the grounds from the from the components to the truck frame.

95 jeep quadratrac seems locked in all the time

first check fuses, relays, and power connections -if good than check the control module for the 4wd check connections and for power ,next check the transfer case look at the actuator and casing for damage and or disconnected wires if u can use a rubber mallet do not hit with metal hammer [can damage crack housing] tap around actuator sometimes rod sticks a light tap makes it move gear out of 4wd

Try replacing the vacuum lines that go to the transfer case from the engine. I had the same problem on a 95 Jimmy and was told to do it.... I changed every piece of vacuum hose that had anything to do with the 4x4 and it worked. Hope this helps you out

O/D light blinking

have your trans oil checked it is telling you that something is not right
most cars dont have a trans oil check light so they use the OD OFF light as a warning
check the oil in it i bet you it is low

4x4 will not engage, lights just blink, and you can here clicking

The 4x4 system has a controller,or computer, called the Body Control Module and there will be stored trouble codes. To work on a system that's electronically controlled, you have to get the codes from the system.Every trouble code has a diagnostic route to follow to resolve the faulty component.I have read about Explorers having faulty door open/closed sensors. These set a code in the Body Control Module, and in the process, the BCM inhibits 4x4 operation, causing a no 4 wheel drive complaint. There is also an electric motor on the transfer case that can fail electrically or mechanically, along with speed sensors and fork position sensors that can give trouble.

Ok...several issues, and you won't believe this.......The 4 wheel drive is controlled by the Body computer, thats right, there is a computer that monitors and instructs Body functions like the door ajar sensors.Well,i just finished reading a technical article on a FORD that had no 4 wd,and the transfer case controller would not allow 4wd operation because the BODY computer sensed a door ajar,so 4wd operation was inhibited. They fixed the door ajar problem,a door sensor, the door ajar light went out on the dash, and the 4wd started working again...OK.....Check engine light is the vehicle computer that controls engine and transmission functions(PCM) has detected an error with a system. When this happens, the computer stores a diagnostic trouble code.Have the codes pulled with a scan tool or code reader.Repair the codes, and the Check Engine light will go out.The power windows,i honestly don't know, but HEY...2 out of 3 ain't bad!!
