Question about 1994 Land Rover Discovery
I have a 2003 Kia Sedona which has the Cobra 8510 factory fitted immobiliser, I think it has failed as the LED light is not flashing as though no power is getting to it. I can't start my car as a result. Usuakky when I turn the ignition key and press the fob into the LED port the dash lights come on and I can start the car. Since the LED has stopped flashing my dash is not lighting when i try to start the car. It is not my battery as the radio and lights etc are working fine. other lights on the dash are also working such as door open light and others not connected to starting up. I have checked fuses inside and out and all are ok, I have also located another fuse behind the dash which is connected to the immobilser wiring. This fault occurred all of a sudden as though a fuse blew but all seem fine. Can the immobilser be disconnected so car will start? If i fit a new one will the car key have to programmed to it. Any ideas welcome.

SOURCE: cobra immobiliser key
After ages searching finally found this on the Cobra site.... A8510 KEY PROGRAMING Ensure the immobiliser is disarmed :- 1) Switch the ignition ON and OFF three times then back to the ON position within seven seconds. 2) The LED on the dashboard will light up signaling the unit is in programming mode. 3) Touch an already programmed key onto receptical, the LED will extinguish for one second 4) Repeat step 3 for all other keys (Max of 4 touch keys) 5) To exit programming switch off the ignition key (unit will automatically exit programming after four keys) NOTE :- 1) Programing procedure can only entered with the system disarmed. 2) If all keys have been lost the system will need to be replaced
