Hi there:The service ride control light being on is letting you know the system has detected a fault. This can be caused by a defective esc module or a bad compressor. need to have codes pulled out of the electronic suspension control module. Need some specific dealer tools in order to reset it or solve it. Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer. Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.
You have one or more Electronic Shocks going bad on your vehicle suspension. The shocks are pretty expensive, about $500-600 dollars apiece from the Cadillac Dealer. If you want to turn the light off you can disconnect the battery for about 15 min. , but the Trouble Code may come on again.
the light can be reset using a diagnostic scan tool. perhaps the mechan did not have the right interface for your vehicle. the body control module is what is responsible for this system and not the ecm( engine control module)now the only way for sure to know if the mechanic actually fix the problem is to check if the parts needed were replace under the vehicle ie the the ride control servo motors on the rear axles and/or leveler valve
I had the same problem with my deville and i replaced all the same stuff so the next thing i had done stopped the problem ask your mechanic to check your fuel injectors and replace any bad ones if none are bad ask for an injector decarb... good luck!
I had all suspension replaced by a cadillac dealer for $1400.00 in Arizona. They told me they would have to run a wire from the back to the front so the service ride control light would not come on all the time. They wanted me to bring the car back in to fix this but I needed to return home. I just hit the reset button everytime I start the car to remove the warning. I don't know if this would help you ...it's just info I have when you change to the new suspension in the rear.
I guess the right word is . Service ride control.
Service ride control. come because, Is there a computer for all the suspension and esteering.
Level sensor if the car use air suspension.
