Question about 2004 Chevrolet Impala
I believe my Mom's car is a 2004 Chevy Impala. Oil light remains on even after oil has been changed. She has dementia and I'm trying to figure this out without upsetting her. She will not read me the manual!!
The same thing happened with a 'low tire' indicator light, but the service station figured it out. Can anybody tell me how to reset the indicators lights on this car? Any suggestions?
Thanx so much!!

Turn the key to the on postion. turn off the radio. push the station trun knob in in tell the message comes on where the station info is. push the arrows to the right of the knob and find oil reset. push the arrows in tell it says exit. push the station knob again and it will reset. this works on all things that need to be reset.

There are codes to reset it after the oil has been changed. My car is an 2001 and i have to pump the gas pedal 4 times to reset it when the car is off. Look in the manual it should say in there.
