Has this bmw got an engine breather problems with oil leaks engine code n42
Replacing the pcv valve will cure this problem

Hi, this engine is common for the oil pump coming loose, they changed it to a m62 then a again with the double vanous. what is yours doing then. get back to me

SOURCE: bmw n42 oil pump
the m42 oil pump is located inside the timing chain cover and is an integral part of the casing so it is neccessary to remove the water pump + viscous fan etc to expose the pump front cover then remove 4 machine screws to examine the pump rotors underneath.
