Not familiar with this vehicle, but waterpumps are not usually tied into to the timing, but can be mounted behind it

Where is water pump fuse located

If your water pump has failed you will simply just have to change it.It does not have a fuse and a rule of thumb is change the water pump when you change the timing belt at 60000 which is the correct interval to change the timing belt and you already have easy access to change the water pump also.

99 pontiac grand am se series 3400 liter motor i need to replace the water pump do you have to take the timing chain cover off to it looks like its all connected together

go to the library and get a book for your car with the motor you have in it.this should be a (sohc)single overhead cam motor and not the (dohc)dual overhead cam motor.the sohc motor the pump is located at the rad side of the motor and doesn`t need to have the timing cover removed.if it happens to be the dohc motor then your best to have a shop do the job as its not an easy job to do

this should be a (sohc)single overhead cam motor.this pump is located at the front of the motor towards the rad.thus you don`t remove the timing cover and easy to replace, once you remove the serpintine belt then the pulley on the pump then there are about 6 bolts that you remove to change the pump.if its the (dohc)motor i strongly suggest you have a shop do the job as its not an easy job to do and if you don`t get the timing belts timed exactly you will be sending the heads to the machine shop to repair.

I need to now where the water pump is on this v6 2.5l plz mercury couger

It's an internal pump that runs on the timing belt. So you have to pull everything off including the timing belt to replace it.

Where is the water pump located on a 99 wagon? is there a diagram anywhere?

It is located behind the timing cover and run by the timing belt. This will be a major job to do. You will want your mechanic to do this job. When you change the pump, make sure you change the timing belt. hope this helps

I'm changing the water pump on my forenza, was wanting to know if it is located under the plastic sheild behind the serpitine belt, if so what is the easy way to get to it?

The water pump is located behind the timing belt cover, which is the plastic shield you mentioned. Replacement of the waterpump involves removing the timing belt, which is an advanced repair. If you are not experienced with timing belts, this may be a job for an experienced technician

HOW TO CHANGE THE WATER PUMP

There is no easy way, the water pump is driven off the camshaft belt, you must pull the timing cover to remove the belt, line up all the timing marks before you remove the belt, don't reuse the belt.
