Looking at buying a 1993 pathfinder very cheep $200.00 with a automatic trans problem. Engine runs great! But vehicle will not move at all foward or reverse , trans fluid looks and smells ok and level is ok. Any ideas out there?

It would depend on how or why the rocker arm broke if the engine is worth fixing. You would not know without removing the valve cover and looking at the rest of the parts.
check ecu fuse.your problem could be vechicle speed sensor also. if you dont see any ecu check engine light fuse either blowed or bulb burned out.but if ecu not working vechicle wont shift correct.
It must be giving you a code as to what is going on here. It sounds like you have a bad silenoid to me. It will be inside ya trans on the valve body. Check and see what codes are comming up on it.
I would buy the converter,only if you really need one,and install yourself.
It should be about half the price you quoted or less. Buy at auto parts store.
You can not not buy another car for the price of a new converter!!
