If you have changed the battery and starter we most likly at this stage rule them out.from experance i would say its an earthing problem; number one ,earth strap from car body to engine, number two earth lead from starter motor to battery, and the last one earth strap from neg side of battery to car body check all these and romove and clean.hope this cures your problem.adrian

My caprice died while stopped, upon trying to restart i get a click like it wants to turn over, is this my starter gone bad?

If you know the battery is for sure, then it's the starter assembly. hope this was very helpful.

96 Nissan Maxima. Has new starter. Wouldn't

Did you have the new starter tested befor you installed it? Was their a lot of corosion on the battery cables? The cables might be corroded as well cousing too much resistance for the starter to crank.

96 explorer turns over but starter is not engaging

I always check remans before they are installed; the Bendix may not be advancing the starter gear or you may have teeth missing from the flywheel. I'd pull the starter and check the condition of the flyhweel.

99 Silverado wont crank?

try checking for a shorted or open battery cable..maybe a bad connection somewhere..........check the main ground cable from the battery as well as the body ground.......(use a set of booster cables..put one end on the neg side if battery black or red.......put the same end that you put on the battery on a metal part of the engine.......to complete a temporary ground circuit....do the same with the body).....may be worth a shot..........
hope this helps...Good Luck!

No electrical response when warm

Check your battery connections. If the terminals are corroded, it's possible that the computer isn't getting enough juice to operate properly which can cause a no-start condition even when everything else is cheking out ok.
