Question about 2002 Chevrolet Malibu
My '02 Malibu has 108K(approx.) miles. Randomly when I start my car, it idles at a minimum of 1.5-2.5 RPMs. If I attempt to drive the car like this, it can gain up to 25 MPH(thats all I would test it to for safetly reasons) without me even touching the gas pedal. When I tried to brake- there was a lot of tension. Usually if I turn the car off and wait a minute prior to restarting it- it stops. This is only one of several problems I am having with my car, but this is a big safetly issue. Help!
Check for vacuum leaks on the intake manifold, the idle air control solenoid, and check the throttle position sensor. starting with those points should solve your problem
