Dude I had the same thing drop the fuel tank and check the hoses on the pump, mine had become weak and were sucking shut when the pump came on, also clogged fuel strainer on bottom of pump, it stumped everybody but it makes sense start at the beginning and confirm, don't start way down the road on a crazy side street and try to diagnose

Electronic engine control unit calculates the mass of fuel to inject, not how wide it sprays. It's the type of solenoid that you use. Some have wider spray nzzles than others. An external Fuel pump helps the delivery of the fuel. Also since fuel injectors rely on mass air flows nowadays, you have to have proper mixture coming through. hows your Fuel pressure regulator?

The throttle position sensor reports to the computer the position of the throttle butterfly valve, which the ECM uses to calculate the load upon the engine-but inorder for this to run, you may need an external pump.

Sounds like nothing is being grounded back to the ECM to even give a reading. If your regulator is improper and you do not have a external pump (depending on your model), than check those. If not, Start from scratch.

If you ever lose your way, go back to the beginning_REWIRE!

Goodluck.

My 1998 Chevy Blazer crank excessively when I try to start it. It always starts, and runs good when I get it started, but I would really like a smooth start. I have recently changed the fuel filter, spark...

leaky injector/s is flooding motor, mechanically clean or replace. And clean throttle body while you are at it with spray cleaner. Should be almost spotless where large throttle valve opens and closes.

check to see if your getting a pulse on the injectors
if it has the spider injector with a fuel pressure gauge check pressure see if it drops or have 55 to 66 psi check to see if also check the eng 1 fuse cgeck ecm 1 15amp

You can pour gas in the throtle body and it will run but when you stop it dies. i checked the fuel pump and filter and they are both workin fine.

if fuel pump and filter are fine then it may be the, fuel pressure regulator not supplying fuel to the injectors.if this is ok, then clean injectors they may be clogging up.

90 k1500 tbi no fuel from injectors

from the sounds of it its going to be one of 3 things 1) the injector is bad or 2) there is no power getting to the injector 3) bad relay switch.

1) to find out if the injector is good. pull the injector out and with some wire ground one side and touch the other side to your battery, every time you tap the wire to the bat you should here the injector click..

2) if injector is good get a test light and test to see if power is coming out of the wires that go to injector( on some vehicles you have to have the motor turning over befor power is sent through wire, so have someone turn the key while you check the wires with test light)

Truck will crank but not start

Try checking all the fuses with a test light may be a blown injector fuse.

2001 gmc sonoma,not getting gas

Have you checked for fuel in the fuel rail? If so have you checked the injectors. If the problem is located in the injectors then there are two possible problems:
1...All of your injectors are clogged. Highly unlikely but possible.
2...Your computer is not sending a injector cycle command to the injector. This could be caused by a faulty cam position sensor or a faulty computer.

Fuel injector

To get to the fuel injector requires taking the intake manifold off. The design of the injectors is a "spider" configuration.
