Yes, there's a special tool called an "inner tie rod tool". It has special crowsfoot type pieces that attach to a long tube with a 1/2' drive ratchet hole in it. First, remove the outer tie rod (COUNT THE # OF REVOLUTIONS WHILE UNSCREWING IT!!) Take off the jamb nut. Take the boot off. Use the tool to remove and replace the inner tie rod. Re-install the boot, jamb nut, and outer tie rod. If you count the # of turns it takes to remove the outer tierod, you'll be able to set it back where it was enough to drive it. i still recommend an alignment though.

There is a tool that you can use that will make it easier for you. To get to the tie rod end, remove the wheel and take the outer tie rod end loose from the hub. You will have to use a hammer and hit the socket where the end goes into the hub to free it up. Once you have the tie rod loose from the hub, loosen the nut behind the outer tie rod end. Count the revolutions as you unscrew the outer end off and write te number down so you will know how far to put it back on. This will save your alignment. Now, the end that is still there is your inner tie rod end. You will have to undo the bellows boot to get to the nut. The tool will slide over the end and secure onto the nut. Now you just unscrew this and replace with you new inner tie rod end.
Please remember to rate this fix.

HOW TO REPLACE BENT TIE ROD

if its the outer tie rod then you can loosen the lock nut on threaded portion that attaches to the inner tie rod then remove the nut that locks the tie rod to the spindle assembly.you can hit the area were the tie rod stud goes through the hole to loosen it to remove it from the assembly.then count the number of turns to remove it from the inner tie rod end.then install the new one the number of turns you took the old one off and reassemble in reverse order.its a good idea to get the alignment done to make sure the wheels are positioned right and not wear the tires out early.

How to change the inner tie rod, as the existing tie rod has place for a wrench

Tie rods are replaced from ball joint to ball joint, the place for the wrench is to adjust wheel alignment toe in. Ball joints are removed with a special fork, you can sometimes use a hammer to shock the taper and remove them.

How to take apart an inner tirod end passenger side for 2002 dodge caravan ?

Use a tie-rod 'pickle fork'. Brace the tie rod with wood against a solid surface, use the pickle fork to remove the tie rod end, out of the center link. (Cotter pin, and nut removed first, of course!)

Here is a photo of a pickle fork,

(Your local auto parts store should have one. They don't cost very much. Make sure it is a tie rod pickle fork, and Not a ball joint pickle fork. Look at both at the store, and you'll see what I mean)
