Question about 1999 Honda CR-V

1998 HONFA CRV TURNS OVER BUT IMEDIATELLY SHUTS OFF

CHANGED THE BATTERY, SPARK PLUGS, CHECKED FUSES ALL SEEMS TO BE OK BUT STILL DOESNT STAY STARTED. ITS ALMOST LIKE THE ENGINE IS FLOODED BUT ITS NOY

Sounds like a security problem. most hondas have a chip in the key try another key. if your battery went dead that will make your security light come on when you try to start it will run for a few seconds then shut off look at the light indecater that shows a key or says secureity. this light will flash at you and continue as long as you got the key in the start posistion. the car may think its been stolen. using the correct not a spare that is used to unlock the doors.but the key you use every day put it into the door and turn it to lock twice then unlock twice this should reset your system
if you have a security system that is after market look under your dash board for a red or yellow wire that has a small reset button on it. above the pedals or on the left side of the floor board by the fuses. if you have this type turn the key to the on but not start hold the button for 5 seconds then let go. turn the key off wait 10 seconds then try to start your car K HAVE FUNNNNN

Changed water pump, timing belt, plugs on 02 mazda 626 2.5 liter it started for a few seconds but now it turns over but wont fire and it turns kind of like it has a low battery but the battery is char


Check to see that all your timing marks are still in line at TDC No1 cylinder, compression stroke.. Sounds like the engine is trying to push against itself.

Suzuki wagon r wont start


all fuses good, using ohm meter tests in hand. or better
12v on both ends of fuse key on?
K12a, 16valves, DOHC, chain cam motor.)
well you are on track, no spark, that be real. huh>
the immo (slang for UK immobilizer) for other readers.
so not TDC codes, but that is not all there is, you can attach
a scan tool and see if you have CMP/CKP sigs, and RPM cranking.
crank for 5 seconds to see if these critical to spark parts are in fact working.
single distrib? (the 2 forms of k12a ) a= real japan engine not china.
new cap, new rotor, , no china rotors that mount backwards allowed.?
do you have schematic of your engine EFI?
you really need that, or finding problems can be very hard.
in usa we have 3 major sources here , all on line, to get that fast.
do you? have that in UK? do you have a suz, dealer? with shop man?
we have mitchells,alldata, and chiltons all on line for this.
we also have the for free in public libs here...
diagnosis. (ill assume its flooding) prevents fire and ring damage.
1: i cut the fuel pump by pulling FP relay.
2: then check spark,,if spark is bad to all 4 spark plugs, that's right 4.
then check spark directly at the COIL, some cars have hidden coil.and can be checked, ask.
if spark is bad at coil, HV terminal. then check for Ignitor drive
pulses. if good then coils is bad. (good input, bad output, bad coil)
if the ignitor is dead, check its input, if input bad , ECU is not
sending inputs. this can happen for only few reasons. in no order.
1: bad ecu
2: no cmp or ckp signals.
3: lost power to ECU, fuses,
IF car has dash tachometer, is it dead, cranking , no 300 rpm cranking?
scan too.
RPM dead. cranking.
no CMP /CKP errors cranking from ECU DTC, ERRORS ON SAME.?
That is how i do this, and never fail.
better is:
1: compression good?
2: spark good and timed
3: good fueling?
you fail #2 (lets work that)

Sparks, turns over, no start


If the spark will jump a half inch space you are probably ok with that.
My first question is do you know if the timing belt is ok ?
The second question is have you tried spraying carb cleaner or starting fluid into the throttle body to make sure you have fuel ?

No 8 volt supply from pcm


You likely already checked this but how about a broken timing belt. If the cams aren't turning the cam sensor isn't working and the pcm won't fire the plugs.

Have you checked the timing belt? If it failed then you wont get the pulse from the cam sensor and no spark. Good luck
