01 Chevrolet S10 Blazer hesitates/misfires

I have an 01 Chevrolet S10 Blazer. Occationally I have a hesitation/misfire when driving the vehicle. I changed all but one spark plug (located next to steering column) which was hard to get out. All wires were changed. Would, not changing that plug cause a problem?

It only did it for a short time. It did it at all speeds. At the present time it hasn't done it.

I had my ford tuned up the gnion swith changed and now it i s hesitation again

Then that guess was not it, there are 2999 more parts to guess.
joking.... but is true. (guessing)
why not post the symptoms and ask for help.
ok, misfire or hesitation, which is it, it cant drive it to tell.
I misfire is violent. a hesitation or really a mini bog is smooth loss of power but catches up fast.
misfire is just that , a cylinder goes dead fore 1/10 second or longer.
the if its is misfiring a scan tool connected to the OBD2 port (all answers by me are USA< unless you fess up that)
you will see code DTC error P0300 or P030x (x = cylinder that failed)
so do a tuneup, (spark parts first) then filters. do the 60,000 mile list.
at least.
if no misfire and is just hesitation?
does it do it hot and cold engine or both
if only hot then does it catch up, if yes, the TPS is bad.
if not, a bad mAF or MAP, sensor or dirty.

to get best help ,say exactly when it hesitates and under what conditions, hot or cold engine, and what is your right foot doing.
sure its moving but how far an for how long and deep .
eg
does it hesitate hills to and at wide open throttle,
and at any speed, or level of road?

Vehicle is hesitating, like it is going to cut off.

There are a few things that can cause an engine misfire and hesitation. Does your van have a CoP ignition system? (Separate ignition coils for each spark plug) Or coil pack? You may have bad ignition coil(s); that would cause a misfire. If you have a dirty/clogged/leaky fuel injector for cylinder 3, that could also cause a misfire condition. When you replaced all the spark plugs, did you look at the plug from cylinder 3? Did they all look the same? Sometimes you can get clues to what is going on in your cylinder by how the spark plug looks: if it's white or glazed you are running too lean and could indicate fuel injection problem, if it's got burnt oil on it and it's sludgy you may have a leaky gasket or worn piston ring that is letting oil up into the combustion chamber and fouling the plug, causing a misfire. If your check engine light comes back on and it's the same misfire code, have the coil for cylinder 3 checked to see if it's weak or bad. Or you can do a home remedy check and swap a known good ignition coil from another cylinder to 3, reset the code, and see if the misfire moves to another cylinder. If it does, you know the coil is bad. You can pick up an ignition coil for pretty cheap on the internet ($30-$70) if that's the problem and they're simple to install (a pain if they're on a cylinder that's under the intake manifold, but just because you have to unbolt a bunch of stuff to get to it...time consuming but not too difficult). I have a 2001 Mazda Tribute and had a couple of ignition coils go bad, causing misfires. This seems to be a semi-common problem for early 2000's Mazdas.

When a vehicle is in neutral there is no load the moment you put it in gear then there is a load,If you hesitate in gear and try to accelerate and it hesitate you have a misfire, sparkplugs, sparkplug wires,If you dont have coil wire the the COP (coil on plug) either way you have a misfire

2003 2500hd rough idle and hesitation o2 sensor and multiple cylinder misfire codes but seems to run ok under normal driving

Sounds like a defective knock sensor. These bring on multiple misfire codes with little change to performance. Check your oil level too, this can make knock detection codes come on unnecessarily. Hope this helped...

Hesitation when cold, no power, sometimes runs relatively smooth. Backfires when pushing to floor. You can drive forever being gentle with gas pedal.

you have a misfire occurring is the check engine light on if so you need to do a code retrevial it may tell you which cylinder is misfiring or it may give you a po300 code which just says random cylinder misfire.if this vehicle has not been tuned and has several miles on it you would probably do well with tune up

The upper intake gaskets may be leaking. They are made of plastic and metal and will leak air. Do not remove the cover on very top of manifold when changing.

2004 dodge caravan 2.4 Hesitates during Acceleration and at idele

You should definitely replace the fuel filter though this probably won't fix your hesitation. It wouldn't hurt to replace the spark plugs this is usually the culprit on these engine. I have the same engine in a '99 caravan and found the for some reason the spark plugs on cylinder 3 and 4 loosen up after one year and cause a misfire between 45 and 50 mph under load (when mildly accelerating).
