Title: 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 Electric window quit working
I have already removed the driver's door panel and for better visibility, removed one of the speakers. Now I need to know how do you remove the electric window motor . Also, since the right window is working can I swap the right door motor with the one in the driver's door?
a 6ya Mechanic can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Assuming it's electric, it could be the switch or the window motor/regulator. If possible try swapping the driver's side switch to the passenger's. If it works - switch, if it doesn't, most likely the window motor, located behind the door panel.
Some of these truck came with electric mirrors and some didnt.get them. However the manufacturer may have used the same wiring harness for both unequally equipped trucks. You may have an extra set of wires in the door panel that go no where depending on the installed options. When you have the wire in your hand make a cirular path with it at the tip pulling tight , the connection is inside the circle. Mfgrs only give you just enough wire to connect it.
On the inside trim,
you can remove screws (these screws may be covered by filler pieces or
may be visible, or they may require you pry a plastic piece off that
covers the screws) that are by the door handle,
arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the
panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want
to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to
get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel
and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and
disconnect the wiring for your controls.
If you have already replaced the passenger side switch and it still doesnt work its a good chance that there is a pinched wire in the door itself. However usually it wont work from the drivers side either. But I still suggest looking there first.
