Should be on the passenger side kickplate below the glovebox and to the right. You may have to remove the plastic panel to access it or look for a small hole in it and feel around for the button

Does the 96 chevy silverado have a fuel shutoff switch and if yes how do you reset it.

I am pretty sure that it would. Most of these are located behind the passenger side kick panel. The panel should just pull off. It is on there good but they are just compression type of fittings. No screws. Your manual should tell you if it is there for sure or not.

'96 Chevy Tahoe won't start

i had similar problem. hard to start in morning but once started, would start everytime until next morning. i changed fuel pump, filter, fuel pressure regulator, coil, cap, rotor, pickup coil, battery. i was finally told the '96 had a recall on the fuel injection assemby. i changed that out with the new mpf system and it solved the problem. runs like a striped ape. hope this helps.
