Question about 2006 Chrysler Neon

Car door unlock and lock by itself

The door fuse message comes across the dashboard, the doors start to unlock and lock themselves. If i leave the car doors locked within hours the car alarm will go off again by itself. I have no idea how to fix this problem or where to start.

Neither of my keys will start the engine. They both unlock and lock doors but they don't start the car. I believe this has something to do with the security and or programming the keys but I haven't discovered how to reset them with the car

Why wont my car boot wont open on my citren berlingo ?

Can you give a check to the micro switch that is connected to your boot lock?
If the catch gets stuck, open your drivers door, leave it open, reach across & press down the lock on the passenger front side. The locks will lock/ unlock themselves, because they sense a door is open. Repeat this action until you hear the boot unlock. Also, keep your battery well-charged.
Let us know if this helps!!

Nissan xterra door lock

sounds like an intermittent short in the wiring, a good place to start looking is where the loom goes through the door by the hinges, this is a place where the get a lot of wear, start with the drivers door and remove the door panel and check for any obvious chaffs in the wiring, (maybe give it a little wiggle).

Doors lock when unexpectedly some time long after I leave the vehicle

Your car has a security function, which assures that the vehicle is locked when left without driver for a while. Same happens if you unlock the doors with the remote and don't open any doors for a few minutes. The doors will lock themselves.

2001PT Cruiser door locks

The fuse is No.3 "DR locks" (near steering wheel)
If you take the fuse out the doors will not open itselves.

The root cause of the problem will be a microswitch inside the drivers door?

Check this:

======FOG LIGHTS ============

1.At first take out the foglight's fuse before you battery is dead. (Fog lights stays "ON" even you leave the car).

2.You must replace the Multifunction control switch =(

Here is the photo of problem:
http://www.ptcruiser.fi/ptgalleria/albums/userpics/10010/normal_sumuvalokytkin.jpg

Fog lights are connected to pin 13,14.
Fog light switch is "B". Because the current is many Amps, contact surfaces are heating up.
After that the contact opening "C" is melting (made of plastic) so the fog light stays "ON".

Car will not unlock.

To get inside the car .... Use the key in the lock cylinder, unlock the drivers door to get inside. You shouldn't have to reprogram the fob unless it or the keyless module was changed. There may be a blown fuse that supplies the keyless control module (check the owners manual for location). or wires that lead into the Drivers door may be damaged ... The keyless module is located inside the drivers door at the bottom behind the door panel ... do the unlock/lock and trunk release switches on the inside of the drivers door operate the locks and or trunk release? If so it is not the fuse ... and not the wires to it ... And it could be your BCM body control module, located in the dash board to right of your gas petal. Because the number entry keypad (code for that is on the inside of the right passenger trunk bracket arm) also doesn't work I assume it's not the key fobs themselves. Your 98 manual is correct for your car.
