Question about 2002 Cadillac Deville
BATTERY WAS GETTING LOW ON CAR. IT WOULD START IF I JUMPED IT OFF, BEFORE. aFTER i INSTALLED NEW BATTERY UNDER THE BACK SEAT, CAR WILL TURN OVER BUT NOT FIRE UP.
I TRIED CONNECTING AND RECONNECTING BATTERY, BUT THAT DID NOT WORK. NO MESSAGES ABOUT ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM OR ANY THING. IS THERE A WAY TO RESET IT OR SOMETHING? ANY IDEAS?
Likely the PassKey system is in lockdown mode. You may need to take it to a dealer. I seem to remember something about turning the steering wheel back and forth while turning the key on some older models that had an ant-theft column... you might try that.
