2008 ford focus no start. neutral safety switch location?

Do you know how your starting system works ? Do you know about the starter relay ? All power comes to an through the starter relay . The park neutral safety switch is on the transmission. VEHICLE RELAYS Testing from the relay base If you have a anti-theft system problem the engine computer - PCM will not let the starter engage . Go to www.bbbind.com for a free wiring diagram of the starter circuit on your vehicle .

Car won't start and the battery is fine. I think

You could be right, a quick test to see if it the switch or starter would be to have someone hold the key in the crank postion with clutch pedal down and see if the small wire at starter has power, if it has power then its not the clutch switch but rather the starter itself. or you can unplug the safty switch and jump the connector and see if it starts, if it does then its the switch if not then it could be the starter, check starter for power as i listed above and if theres power replace the starter. hope this is helpful. good day.

I have a 2000 ford focus with a manual transmition and zetec motor I turn the key and everything lights up but the engine doesnt turn I had it push started and it ran fine I changed the starter and it...

Check for bad grounds, start with the starter ground. Do you even get a click when trying to start? If not then the starter is getting no power and check your hot lead to the starter also. Make sure the battery terminals are cleaned well.

Vehicle will not start when clutch is depressed

check the battery make sure is has a proper cranking amp, you can test it by getting a jump to make sure its not the battery. next check the clutch safety switch, located under the dash on clutch pedal, cheap to replace, if the switch is faulty than the car will not start or crank. if switch is good more likely it will be the starter.

Push in clutch engine will not start. want to know if it is clutch safty swich or starter motor. or what other solutions are possible

Could be either,or even a bad ignition switch... if you hear a click/tick when you push on clutch and attempt to start, then its the starter if not check clutch safety switch try wiggling or disconnect switch and see if that works. If not replace switch and FIX the problem. Good luck and thanks for using FIX YA

My truck is manual transmission, and will not start. the battery is good, the starter is also good, the clutch switch is good, yet my truck still does not start.

If all the obvious check out like the battery passing load test and all connections good you need to locate the starter solenoid. Early Fords have them up top usually near the battery...later models have them on the side of the starter motor like the GM's. If you have battery voltage at the solenoid with the key in the start position that will eliminate clutch safety switch and ignition switch. If voltage is good at solenoid problem is a bad solenoid/starter or a bad connection at the solenoid which later Fords are famous for. If no voltage at solenoid with key in the start position problem may be clutch safety switch, ignition switch or connection problem...good luck.
