SOURCE: saab 9-3 engine into 9-5

the engines are different model engines since they run off the computer im thinking that you need to set the computer to the 9.3 since the specs run the 9-5 at different frequency the enigine modules still think its a 9-5 in which you want the computer to run it at 9-3 this gives the high throttle reving

you need a laptop and your cars software to set the idle control for vehicle and possibily the proper idle control module for engine

SOURCE: Check engine & traction control lights on

It might be the water temperature sensor for the brain not reading the right temperature, causes wrong parametres in the warming up periode, and then the diagnostic lamp will show.

SOURCE: Saab 900 auto with "Check gearbox" light

Hello. I had the same problem when the Check Gearbox light came on, it would be very sluggish. It turned out to be a small sensor in the transmission that lets the car know what gear it is in. It started to go out slowly and only sometimes would send the information.

SOURCE: Intermitent car starting problem with my 200 Saab

Hello
Could be nothing more then dirt and corrosion on the battery cable ends.

Look at the cable ends where they connect to the battery if there dirty or corroded you will need to clean them off with a wire brush.

Another possibility is the starter has a dead spot and will need to be replaced.

Hi, the name is Monica I have a 2008 accent. When I initially start my car it seems fine, in park or neutral I punch the pedal and the engines revs perfectly. The problem comes after the engine warms up...

Hello Monica.,Take it to your local garage and ask them to check out the onboard computer.
You can do it yourself often. Just disconnect your battery for 2 mins and then reconnect.. If the same.. the garage.,

good luck

No acceleration 2001 saab 93

Need more details but that reminds me a little bit of a 9-3 we had that had a failed MAF (Mass Air Flow Sensor) that lost a ton of power and was groggy until we swapped it out with one from another car. Won't coast baffles me... maybe the turbo is seizing up??

Saab 95 turbo - jerks while driving

Yes. What you are describing happened to my '04 9-5 wagon. It's the throttle body.

Saab 2006 1.9tid 150 acceleration problems to 2000 revs when turbo kicks in and accelerates well from then on recently had new EGR valve fitted fuel filter and fuel solenoid poor running at idle been told...

This is usually the first (cheapest) place to start. The MAF (mass air flow) meter is designed to sense and adjust the vehicle engine to changes in air temperature, speed, density etc. to keep your vehicle running properly. Since you already had your EGR replaced (yet another possible source of this sort of problem) I would tend to lean more toward the MAF. If you run any sort of aftermarket intake such as a k&n etc. these can cause problems for certain vehicles that are very sensitive to air flow as Saabs tend to be. Also the oil used on filter elements such as k&n can ruin the sensitive MAF. This unit is generally easy to fix (it's the little box with wires running to it) mid way up your air intake tube just past the filter. They aren't too terribly expensive either. Try this and hopefully this gets you up and running.

Our toyota has been with our local small garage

sounds to me like who ever changed the cam belt did not line up the timing marks psoperly, these marks ensure the engine valve timing is set correctly, if the timing marks are not set properly, the car runs rough, and lacks power...hence the reason for the marks......makes the car run like its only on 3 cylinders, instead of four...the effect is, lack of power, bad starting, running rough....eventually this will lead to more severe engine problems, affecting the turbo, valve cylinders, oil seals, valve stems, excessive cam wear, shim wear, and eventual sieze of engine
