When the trans is cold it will shift almost normal as of now. If you keep driving it it will eventually slip when its cold. This is caused by worn out clutch plates
Your trans needs to be overhauled with a clutch rebuild kit
Did you have it serviced or rebuilt, If you had it rebuilt I would take it back to the trans shop for warranty repairs.
If they just changed the trans filter I don't think it would cause your problem. You just have bad luck with the slipping trans
Best thing to do is get the ECM on the jimmy scaned for codes. I believe Auto Zone will scan for free and some transmission shop as long as there honest will scan the ECM too and let you know what you realy need.
The ECM controls the transmission and if there is any conflicts between the transmission or engine the Jimmy will go on a limp mode and your transmission will not shift to OD and may seam to be slipping.
If it is a transmission problem the scan will pick it up, same as to if it's a engine problem.
Good luck and hope this helps, Just trying to save you some money by finding out what is causing the problem.
