Problem with TRANSMISSIONof Jeep Grand Cheroke limited model 1995

Hello sir i am using a Jeep Grand Cheroke limited model 1995, and my question is regarding Transmission(Gears) Automatic gears.
the problem i am facing is that, the gears are not shifting.first gear shifts taking a little time and with a little ****. but ater 1st its not shifting to 2nd or even higher.
some times it shifts.
and 1more strange thing that, when the temperature is cool i.e when it is parked overnight and when i satrt in morning, after warming a littel the gears work properly but as i drive for let say 30min or 60mins and park my car(till now everything going oky) and if again i start driving lets say after 10min, 15min, or even 1hour and than whole day the gears doesn work, i mean the same consition reappear which i stated above...?

I had changed the copmlete Transmission oil+filter+gaskit(the seal) and my oil level is upto max mark but still no difference.its now 1 or 2 week the oil seems to be fresh but i dont know why its smelly!!!?
Sir please reply me back as soon as possible because i am suffering in high tention.
I will wait.
bye hopping to here soon.

If your transmission fluid smells burnt or like varnish then it is likely your transmission needs to be replaced. However, If it is a shifting problem after the engine warms up it may be in your emissions. Does your check engine light come on? Do you have any codes? Do you have a EGR valve or Oxygen Sensor. If you want a guess to your problem,,, if the fluid is okay... look on your catalytic converter and see if your oxygen sensor is located there. There is a procedure for testing it but my best guess would be to replace it. It would require some mechanical skills and about $80 for the sensor... This type of sensor recognizes exhaust temperature and oxygen level and should have 4 wires. If it fails your transmission will not shift into overdrive at all and your check engine light will come on giving you a few emission codes and a faulty trans. code. Good luck..,.

If fluid stinks or smells burnt, it time for a rebuild or replacement, clutches in trans. are gone.

Sure the clutches can be fix, but trans. must come out, and taken all apart to be fixed. That means full rebuild or replacement.

Check engine Light won't come on crank but no start

A common problem with this type of condition is the crank shaft position sensor. A defective sensor will not allow the engine to run.

95 GRND CHEROKE sunroof supports have come loose and it leaks.

The bigest problem with this model jeep sunroof is the cable conduit in the rear of sunroof is broken loose. can be accesed by removing the headliner. But the tracks are accessed from the sunroof opening after removing the glass. the part department at the dealership can give you a breakdown basicly the only replacable parts are the tracks, Price about $200.00 each.
