Call a Nissan dealer to see if there is a recall on your car. That problem has been addressed with recalls a couple of times.

1990 nissan 300zx has a bad fuel smell inside car. Can anyone give me tips on what to look for?

the problem is your fuel lines, in the engine room over the upper planum. they are pretty old and they will crack. Usually that samell comes when starting the engine in cold. Probebly your fuel line are finito. Change them all.
Hope this will helps.

Driving down the road it cuts out when try to floor it i put new coils cap rotor wires plugs and put timimg light and timed it any advice would be helpful ty

Fuel starving, replace the fuel pump. test drive it did it solve it. If no then next step (when it cuts out as you floor it it starves for fuel). Engine off open air cleaner look into carburator grab accelerator linkage (open secondary flap the big one) prime it does it squirt fuel from all four port or just two. Probably just two circuit . the nissan uses a seconday that is electricaly controlled. its a vacuum port they have a tendancy to stay in the closed position and not allow secondary fuel. primary should be okay that the port that is open and when you pull on the throttle mechanism should see fuel spray out. either way rebuild the carb. Oh let me give you bad new todays fuel is not meant for carburator so always look for external leaks

My 2008 nissan sentra has its check engine light on still.....I pulled the dip stick and there was no sediment on it, checked under the oil cap on the engine, no sediment there either....however my oil was...

Well i advice you to flush the engine, then put a good type of engine oil, after having service it,take out the positive cable from the battery for one hour ,this will reset the E.C.U .After one hour put the cable, then start the engine see what it gives.Hope that help you and solve the problem
