its speed density so i dont think its MAP, ill try the fuel pressure regulator, any way to test that without just buying a new one? Fuel pressure guage maybe?

well, u pulled the vaccum line off the fuel regulator, turned it on and fuel was squirting out, put a hose on regulator and clamped it, and then plugged vaccum line, started her up and she runs fine again, now i just need to buy a new fuel regulator,

thanks alot for your help, it saved me time, as i already spent 3 days after work in the cold and dark trying to problem solve.

    thanks alot, Chris

You either have a bad MAP sensor or a bad fuel pressure regulator.

Yes connect a fuel pressure gauge to the fuel rail and start the engine. The pressure should rise when you disconnct the vac line.

My 1968 chevy impala wont start unless i push gas pedal to the floor

it is your carburetor the fuel float is set to high and probably leaks. If it older than 10yrs old and has never been rebuilt . do that if you want to save yourself a bunch of time and little more money make the investment of a Brand New not rebuilt. if you get the carb manufactor specs matched to your motor , Out of the box, it will be very close to being on the money .

1990 f150 302 v8 5.0 sputtered and died and now wont start. What could be the problem?

Turn the ignition switch to run, without starting it. You should hear the electric fuel pump, in the gas tank, run for about 3 to 4 seconds, until it builds to proper pressure. If it is not humming along it needs replaced.

Hello I have a 89 F150 4.9 inline 6 5 speed manual 4X4. The only way i can start it is by rolling it off. It has a new starter, solenoid, and good battery. All electrical works when key is turned on it...

Most likely is the clutch inhibit switch, the switch is on the rod that goes from the clutch pedal to the the clutch master cylinder.Could be a bad ignition switch but that is rare. The clutch switch is designed to keep the vehicle from cranking without the clutch engaged.Make sure the floor mat is not wadded up under the pedal.

1995 aspire wont start

with little infomation i would say that you need to replace the fuel pump or you shoul start with the fuel filter then if that doesnt help try the fuel pump replacement . see when you push it motor is turning faster than starter motor meaning need less fuel to start it so when you push it motor is winding faster than with starter motor good luck with this project
