sounds like the alarm was set and when you opened the trunk it activated the alarm system, seems you got no sound though.
you can go to the drivers door, lock the car up even when the trunk open, then unlock it might have to do it several times. this will reset the alarm
You must turn the car on after alarm goes off. Door locking and unlocking dont work after the alarm goes off. Its like you break a window to get in anyone can lock or unlock a door thats why its tied to the ignition.
If you need to shut off the alarm without the fob insert your key in the drivers door lock and lock and unlock the car My 89 300TE does this on occasion this wil reset the alarm to off to rearm the alarm lock the car again
hi,try you spare key for proper function,read your owner manual for more information regarding alarm,if you want to try your alarm, lower your window,lock the vehicle,open the car from outside,alarm should trigger,or send your car to a dealer for proper diagnose,maybe loose electrical or stuck-up micro switch,ty
Lift the hood. Just below the screen, opposite side from battery, you'll see a plastic cover shielding the engine management, abs control box etc. If you search around there after removing the shield/ cover you will find a relay with a fuse plugged into the top of it. This is the pump / system relay.
