When put in drive trys to die when you take off has no power when you give gas it runs good

Check vacuum lines for leaks

run fault codes and look for canister purge valve solenoid or venting problems.

The engine and transmission in this cars drivetrain are fully electronically controlled by a computer called the PCM (Power Train Control Module). Whenever a problem like this occurs the computer stores a record of the problem in the form of a fault code in its memory, to read these fault codes you must have the systems memory scanned with a special tool. Once the fault code(s) are read you then must perform the appropriate diagnostic testing to find and resolve the problem(s)

dirty throttle body, check air filter.

Have the codes checked and post them to better give me an idea it may sound like it could be a clogged up catalytic converter but checked the codes if it coincides with what i just told you then it is the catalytic converter let me know something thanks.

3rd clutches in the trans are probly weld to the ring gear

Did you run diagnostics on your truck? a code would be helpful.Now lets see.From my experience if you have to do all of this,your ECM is probably bad.And sometimes the best diagnostian can't figure this out.I would change the computer,get one from the junk yard with matching numbers, will work just as good as a new one,and you will not continue to increase your cost much.
