Sounds like temp sensor is not functioning properly. I dont have specific info on your car but generally speaking, either, your temp sending unit feeds both the dash gauge and the computer, or there is a seperate sensor for the computer.(any parts house can check to see if one or two are listed for your application) The function is to provide additional fuel when cold, similar to the function of a choke on a carbureted engine. As the vehicle warms up, this additional fuel is lessened, till operating temp is reached. Hope this helps you!!

2002 malibu will not start when cold. After it starts by priming it then starts fine.

ever tune it up, try new spark plugs. gapped to spec.
starts fine and runs fine, not said the latter....????

Cold starts are the hardest, takes
these things to start good. cold.
1: go winter fuel (if cold out, isit? then winter fuel works best)
2: a good engine and good spark plugs, (hot spark)
3: good cold start fueling,
to get #3 the modern car 89- now. needs a working and accurate
ECT sensor, this tells the ECU exactly how much fuel to use.
if the ECT reads warming than REALITY, the fueling will be weak
and may not start or stall fast.

no location stated, nor if car is a daily driver, that is fresh fuel
every week,,,,

2002 Yukon Hesitation when starting- No checking engine lights!!

This can be fuel pump related or just fuel filter related, spark plugs and injectors.
When engine is cold vaporization of gasoline is minimum. When fuel vapor is less than required and the fuel mixture is not ideal, ignition happens harder than it does under ideal running conditions of engine. When fuel pups is sweak, or filter is limiting, or fuel injectors are not injecting gasoline with improper pattern inside engine, or just becasue of corroded spark plugs, cold engine faces difficulties during first ignition.

PS: sometimes car starts and stalls.it fails to start once more. this can be a sign of broken crank position sensor. FYI.

My 2002 honda accord has a hard time starting on cold mornings the car spinns i can smell fuel and after turning over for a couple of min. it will start

The solution to you're problem is quiet simple ! You'll have to spend a few bucks, and replace your spark plugs !

If you do that, you're issues will be resolved, along with a better pick up power of your car.
Also, if the problem still persists, change your fuel filter/oil filter !

My car started fine but today the weather got cold and now it wont start it turns over and has a new battery

maybe water in fuel filter froze. change fuel filter. also check for spark. if you have spark then you know it is a fuel problem.

BMW 320TDI HARD TO START WHEN WARM

Probable Spark plugs have blown. I would do a good tune up and replace your fuel filter, plugs and wires, oil and oil filter, air filter. Your system builds enough fuel pressure when it's cold becuase there is technically less are in your combustion chamber when it's cold so it can build more fuel pressure to start. When it's warm there's less room to build pressure to start your motor. So do a good tune up for now and see if that works. Hope you the best!

Cold start valve or cold start injector. On new fuel injeccted cars they act like chokes did on carborated vehicles.
