Take door panal off

There is some hidden screws behind little covers on your door. At the handle, and the pull/arm rest, and the bottom corner. You'll find it easier to pop the mirror trim cover off too. Once all the screws are out, and you removed the inside handle, just grab the lower pocket and give her a firm pull, it should pop loose with minimal effort. Then lift it upward, and remove. (you'll need to unplug the wiring from it to take it completely off.

Remove inner door panel to replace window lift otor

The door panal basicly just pops on the metal frame of the door with plastic push pins and they are reuseable Depending on what else you have like power windows and locks adjustable mirrors ECT . You will have to remove some hardware screws and parts that snap together look for trim peices that are removeable they like to hide screws behind them or under arm rests . So you will need to use some comon sence to see what is holding it on because you can pop the door panal off first by prying it back and you will see how the push pins work . look around for what is still holding the skin on at what point because they all come off you may have to lift up on the panal after you get it disconneced

Trying to figure out how to remove door panal to fix window

The problem with removing the door panel are the hidden screws.

Look for area's that have a cover over what will be a screw under the cover.

once you have removed what is only a few screw, and it has been a while since I worked on an 88, So look in the carpet area at the bottom of the door, take an instrument that is thin and push it behind the panel.

the door panel is held on by push type inserts that hold it tight but will release when it is pryed out. The key is to be careful. Sometimes there is a hidden screw and you can find it without breaking the panel if you work your way around and not force something that does not seem to want to move.

Note that there are usually a couple of screws around the door handle so it holds when you pull and there is usually one behind the door opening handel as well.

Hope this helps,

Driver side window regulator

I would suggest replacing the whole regulator. They do offer the plastic slide pieces seperatly but usually the regulators bend and cause premature breakage of new component. If you can just replace the slides-remove the regulator and drill out existing piece if it is broken off in regulator. Next take a ball peen hammer and peen new metal into a mushrrom to secure it to existing regulator. I would remove the slider from the glass and push window all the way up and secure with a suction cup to keep it from falling down. Then take off the 2 screws securing the motor harness(disconnect the battery because one wire is hot and pay attention to the placement of the wires when they are resecured-it will just work in the opposite fashion if the polarities are reversed). Then take out the nuts and bolts securing the regulator to the door frame. If you figured out how to take off a 126 door panal you should be able to figure out the regulator position in the shell. Once the regulator is out remove the motor and secure it to the new regulator. Inspect the teeth on the motor and lube with grease (white lithium grease is what I use-wheel bearing grease is fine but it can be messy). Then "fish" new regulator into the door and secure nuts(use red locktight so they do not loosen up in the future). Then slide window down and slide in new plastic slides into window glass frame-you will want to leave the regulator loose and may have to start one of the slides before you secure regulator to door. Lube up the run channels and slides with grease. Snug regulator and operate window with regulator partially loose to let window find the best position with the lease stress and then secure regulator. It isn't as bad as it looks and with a new regulator it will be more self explanitory. Worse case senario remove the other rear panal and copy that regulator position. Good luck I hope I have been helpful.

How to remove rear door panal for 03 cts

If you have power windows start by disconnecting your negative battery cable. Then you need to locate and remove the screws that hold your interior door handles in place (they may be hidden by snap in, or snap on clips). Once you remove the screws that hold the door handles, remove any wire connectors to the handles, if they're not power you will need a small hook (kinda like a knitting needle) to remove the window crank. A manual window crank is held in place by a clip on the base. Slide the hook behind the base and remove the clip. The door panel itself, is held on by snap in clips, and you will need a small pry bar to pull them from the door (try to get as close to, or directly under the clips to prevent them from tearing out of the door panel). Once the clips are removed from the door, pull the panel upward to remove it from the door.

Install in reverse.

I hope this helps you, and I wish you luck on your repair.

How do itake inside door panal off a 2001 chev malibu

I've done this and it's not too hard but there are a several hidden fastenings.

Start by taking the black plastic triangular trim panel off the upper forward portion of the door. I'm talking front doors. I've never done back but probly very similar. To remove trim panel push lower ft corner rearward to disengage hidden tab. push lwr rear corner forward to disengage hidden tab. pull inward to disengage top. Next take screw out of from behind door handle. Lift out door handle bezel. Release tabs that hold door lock switch asbly. Lift out switch and disconnect from harness. Next take off window crank. Peek btw crank and inner panel. Theres a U shaped hair pin that secures the crank to the shaft it sits on. Find the top of the hair pin and pull it sideways out of the shaft/crank junction. Next is pwr window switch. Use flat blade tool to lift out switch and disconnect connector. Next pry out door handle plug. There are two screws hidden under this dress plate plug. Last is to pry the door panel off the inside of the door. There are about six plastic plug fasteners in the inner panel that plug into holes in the door. Start at the bottom rear corner with wood shim or plastic puddy knife and gently pry the fasteners out of the door. Not fun but can be done!
