Question about 2001 Porsche Boxster
The car battery is new, after 2 days of buying a new battery, the car does not crank....Lights on display turn on, but the car does not crank, Help, Thanks
The battery has lost its charge or the terminals are dirty , Have the battery charged and make sure the terminals are clean. To check that the battery charge is low do the following. turn on the driving lights and try to start ,if the lights go dim or out the battery is low. The alternator may be at fault and not charging the battery, make sure the drive belt tension is ok . to test the alternator with the engine running connect a volt meter to the battery terminals, around14 to 15 volts is ok, 12 volts or less the alternator or regulator is at fault.
