Heater problems 2009 dodge nitro v6.

Possible, with rad cap off, let vehicle idle until coolant fan comes on then shut vehicle off for 30 minute cool down. Top up rad, install cap and drive and recheck heater operation and any overheating.

My 2002 chevy express van has no power, missing and running rough

Sounds like you got some bad gas. Be sure and let the station know right away. They may be on the hook to pay for repairs.
Take the van to a shop and have the computer checked for trouble codes.
The gas tank and lines may have to be flushed.

I cannot fill my volvo 850 1997 model with coolent after draining

have you just drained it from the rad??? you need to undo the screw on the rad and there is one on the block, when you have done that i would give it a good flush through with the hose pipe, then back flush it, you sould get about six and half ltrs in the system, thats at 50-50 water anti freeze, dont forget to make sure you have the heater setings on hot when you refill, this will help with any airlocks, good luck.

How to get air out of a 2001 ford taruse after changeing heater hose.where is the bleeding screw

Just leave rad cap off, make sure heater is turned on (not defrost) and let engine run until rad fan kicks on and off 2or 3 times, which indicates thermostat has opened and coolant has flowed through rad, or watch in rad for a good increase in flow, when up to operating temperature, which would mean the same thing. Top coolant up during, as needed. After that, put rad cap back on, top up return bottle to proper level, and you should be good. Be patient though, it could take a half hour or so from start to finish.

My audi a6 keeps overheating at leat thats what the gauge tells me. It only happens when you are doing 40 or more . When you free wheel the temp shoots back down rapid. Any ideas

another difficult one to diagnose without car in front of me iam afraid ,could be anything from a head gasket to a partially blocked rad caused by no ANTIFREEZE ,try it again and turn the heater on max heat and fan on max and see if runs hot then if its ok ,let engine cool and put about 200grms of caustic soda in rad and run it for half hour ,let it cool and flush out the system with a hose pipe .then refill with water and try another drive ,if its ok then refill with antifreeze ,if its not try the caustic again .if that doesnt work trade it in quick

96 ford windstar rusty coolent and backflow bottle smells like ga

Open the petcock valve on the bottom of the radiator. Start the vehicle and turn the heater on high. Remove the radiator cap and insert a hose with fresh water running. continue this for as long as it takes the water coming out of the petcock to become clear. It could take an hour or more. Once the water is clear, shut the vehicle off, and let the rest of the water drain out of the petcock valve.
Restart the vehicle and add fresh coolant. Leave the radiator cap off and let the vehicle run until the coolant stays at the top of where the radiator cap goes, this will ensure you have bled all of the air out of the cooling system and there is enough coolant in the system. Replace the cap and you are good to go.

Please remember to rate this fix.
