Re: cental locking not working and radio/cd not working
Is central locking not working with remote & did you try using key to see if central locking is working at all if working with then its a good chance that key fob is faulty if its not then first need to check fuses & for radio is it going on when switched on display will say code---- if it does then it req code if not then again possibilty a fuse might be on same circuit as your central locking fuse

If you Blew off the timing belt then need Head work also since it is an interference Motor
meaning that the Valve train and Pistons Have no Clearance so U are going to need a lot more work than just a timing belt to run
If it's like mine, the ZETEC engine,I'd wholeheartedly recommend letting Ford do it.They only charge 185 dollars labor and will do it right. In my shop manual,it takes up FOUR pages of instructions on this job for the ZETEC....................that's too much trouble for me. I took mine to Ford at 130,000 miles and they did a great job.All parts considered,it cost 413.00 dollars because of the kit and belt and new tensioner for the drive belt. don-ohio
I have owned both personally, and I really liked both engines. The Zetec definitely has the power to do anything you want, and the LX was very reliable. I actually had a Green Focus LX Sedan, and that got me 186k miles on the same clutch no less before I traded it in, still no issues at trade in time......The Zetec was a hatchback, but I still got 140k on that before I bought a Silverado.....Great motors in my opinion.
yes you need a code 4 numbers to get the radio to work but this isnt a problem as i can generate it for you only need the radio chassis number.central locking could be the boot lock njeed replacing they always 'play up and it stops the lot
