Question about 1998 Ford F150 Regular Cab

1998 Ford F-150 4-wheel drive won't engage

I have an electronic engaged four wheel drive on my truck and it was working fine and then recently when i kick it in it says on the dash that it's kicked in, but it's not actually kicking in on the truck itself. It stays in 2 wheel drive all the time. Same problem on a 1998 F150. Had the acutator replaced about 2 months ago and have used the 4WD since. Now it is not working again.

Chuck943, I clicked on the link to the diagram but photobucket says it was moved or deleted. Could you Please repost.

There is an electric motor that engages drive.  Mine was stuck and a mechanic beat it w a hammer while I was in vehicle w brake on in drive pushing the diff 4wd buttons.  It freed up and started working fine!!  It looks like a small starter under car on passenger side. Or buy one on ebay  for cheap and replace it
