Question about 2006 Hyundai Tucson

1 Answer

Car jerks We bought a 2008/2009 Tucson automatic just 2 months ago, we noticed that when we travel between 40-60km/h the car tends to **** not violently but more like a shudder as if your were driving on a really rough road all the time. We took it back to the dealer and was told it was normal and it had something to do with some fuel saving device new models are fitted with. We know that there is definitely something wrong with it. We went to test drive another Tucson at 2 dealerships today and it didn't do what our car was doing. Please help!

Need to make sure the rotor are not warped and you do not have a bad drive axles and also be sure to check the fluid in the transmission and you do not have a bad tire on it.

Just remove fuse to radio to see if this circuit is the problem. You can pull fuses one at a time and use voltmeter to see which are drawing current. Could be bad diodes in alternator which can be tested at parts store.

my Hyundai 'Tucson 2006 had a leak today when I came out from work. I don't know about cars but i'm curious enough to open the engine top to see what's going on. And I found a piece just lying there, It's the same as the top to check the oil, has a yellow plastic part says A/C oil. I couldn't find where it goes or what it is.

Slowing down at around 40km/hr, the transmission jerks.

2008 Tucson? It should still be under warranty. Does it have more than 100,000 miles on it? Are you the original owner? If not, does it have less than 60,000 miles on it?.. If so, it's still under warranty - take it in to get fixed under warranty.

2005 Hyundai Tucson jerking violently

mirandamcl,

I just took my 2006 Tucson in to have this fixed. It was simply that that hose from the air filter was not clamped on tight. That was 2 days ago, no more problem.
