Problems with valves knocking

Yes valves on my 1999 grand prix supercharger in knocking i want to know whats wrong do i need a motor or supercharger

You can remove the belt from the super charger and see if knocking persists. Car will run w/o super charger. Plan to spend about $300 for a remanufactured super charger.

My 1999 pontiac grand prix gtp supercharger has been overheating and when i went to start it the next morning it is making a knocking nosie do you think the engine is blowen


You can check the oil to see if it has water in it if it does it will be milky looking and another thing you can check is the tail pipe and see if it is sucking back or has steam coming out of it.

Hey i would like to know wat size supercharger belt will i need for my Grand Prix 1999 gtp


The belt has an outside circumfrence of 66.897" it is NAPA part # 25060663 it retails for $41.89 and has a lifetime warranty.

Transmission, Most likely need to flush it a few times and that should do the trick. My friend had the same problem with his grand prix, 3800 engines are tough but the transmission the grand prix come with blow.

Lean fuel code error on a 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP,3.8L motor


It is the boost bypass valve. The plunger will move with only enough throttle as it is connected to the throttle body.
The bypass solenoid you need is for the Eaton M90, the supercharger on your car. You can very likely get this part from zzperformance.
