I'v changed the plugs and since then it will not fire at all. What should i look for?

Are the spark plugs gapped properly? Should be set at .035 inch

Did you change over the computer with it? If not, it won't run right even if it did fire. Computers are programmed specific to engine displacement.

Do you have a mis-fire? The code 2744 is for transmission overheating.

there will be firing orders , cylinder positions and rotation for firing for all dodge engines

Have you checked the wiring, the spark @ plug, Power to the coil???

What's the difference in the firing order on a 1997 318 or a 1998 318, is it the same or does something have to change cause of the timing in the computer?


It is the same.

Firing order = 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2

Computer only handles the primary side of igintion and the timing advance.

I have a 1987 Chrysler fifth Avenue with 318 engine i just need a drawing of the firing order for the spark plug wires


The firing order on a 318 is 1 8 4 3 6 5 7 2, the drivers side bank is 1 3 5 7 front to rear and the passenger side bank is 2 4 6 8 front to rear.

Need firing order on a 1996 dodge ram v8


The order should be stamped on your intake manifold right under the air cleaner.
My '97 1500, 5.2, 318 firing order is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2
