Air Compressor Motor Going Off?

I bought a used 2002 Cadillac Escalade, that for all intents and purposes gives me no problems. But when I leave the truck parked for a long time, like overnight, a strange sound comes from underneath the vehicle after I start the engine. It sounds like an air compressor motor and it's coming from the center-rear end of the vehicle. I've poked my head under the truck countless times but can't for the life of me figure out what's making the noise and why.

What is probably going on is the air suspension has a leak so the compressor is breaking down. So it will run at odd times trying to make up for the times it can not run. What you need to do is look for a conversion kit. The conversion will stop all problems that you are having now and you will never have to worry about it again. I would recommend strutmasters.com. They have great prices and there kits are guaranteed to last the life of the car.

You have automatic air suspension. It is indeed an air compressor. The sound is normal.

Have you tried changing the oil pressure sending unit. It may be giving you a low reading when the oil is really fine.

The A/C in my Cadillac escalade doesnt blow cold and when i turn it to max it turns off completly

our standards for mobile a/c systems allow leakage of up to 1/2 pound a year. Though this does not always happen they do leak and eventually they stop giving you cold air. There is a low pressure switch that protects the compressor from damage. hopefully you just need a charge and everything will be ok

2004 escalade ac problem

I had the same problem. Took it to an AC guy and they told me it was going to cost $1,400 to replace all kinds of parts. I didn't get it done right away because I went on vacation. When I got back from vacation the air blows cold. It hasn't gone back to blowing hot since.
