Mereceds repair prices

I'm looking at a 1999 Mercedes E320.
I love the car, but I want an idea of what the costs of repairs would be if there would happen to be any problems down the road.

Could someone give me an idea?

They are expensive to maintain.
150 + dollars for oil service " change "
400 + dollars for mass meter " air mass flow meter "
150 + dollars for a battery
1000 +- tune up
1,000 + if it breaks down.

U have a Mercedes and the dealer will rip you off for sure. That is a Mercedes thing. Unfortunate thing is that the car has class A engineering but of what use is it when the reliability is below par?

U got the correct info on the culprit but do you want to pay the price?!?!?!!??

The radio display in my 2005 mercedes benz e320 is displaying the screen images 3 times side by side.

Best advice is to buy an aftermarket radio. The cost to repair the factory radio will be double or triple what you will spend to buy a nice Sony, Kenwood, JVC or Pioneer radio with the latest technology. Been there, done that.

Does anybody have a digital manual for a an 1996 E320 that I don't have to pay a ridiculous price for??

Apparently you have checked at the dealer, lol, a digital manual, do you mean a repair manual, or an owner's manual? A repair manual can often be found where car enthusiasts put them up for members on their respective forums. Or they would be the people to ask, you know, search a few Mercedes or E320 forums.
Check out a few automotive books sites, too. One in particular, I remember was at Helm.inc., don't remember the website, but google (bing) helm and it should show up. A really good resource for new and used manuals of every description for just about every car...well, there may be gaps, but pretty extensive. Good luck..

hi, merc dealers tend to rip you off for labour charges, if you are not mechanicly minded find a local shop who can multi task, best thing is ask around recommendation is best, if you can do a diy job then get yourself a manual for the car, i have a E300 TD and there is not many things i can't do myself, hope this is of help to you, good luck

Where is thestarter located on a 2003 Mercedes Benz E320?

You would need to get a repair manual for a schematic to know where the starter motor is located. In truth, replacement is not very complicated--you simply unbolt the old unit and bolt in a new replacement unit. But, you may have to disassemble other components to reach the starter motor. It is likely more costly to have your starter motor repaired. I suggest getting a new one or refurbished. Some places will have a "core charge", whereby you get that money refunded when you send them your old starter. In the end, it is cheaper and easier than getting your starter motor fixed. Good luck.
