Loss of power, hesitation, bad gas mileage

Clean the MAF sensor. Could also need a tune up, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter. Could also have a stopped up catalic converter that needs to be replaced.

signs of a bad fuel pressure regulator. the vehicle runs rough, the engine will not start usually in the mornings. many times engine starts but stalls shortly after starting. a bad regulator can result in fouled plugs. black soot on plugs, blake smoke from tailpipe, running rough, stalling. you could have residue in fuel tank and need to change fuel filter again. have a very good day !!

Fuel problems with '98 Chrysler Concorde

Easiest diagnosis and fix is to replace the gas cap. Too many people do not recognize the modern gas caps are not like the old 70's where you had carbeurated engines. With the new systems a proper vacuum (you are spot on) is required. Since you can correct this problem by manipulating the gas cap it doesnt sound like anything with a vacuum hose, etc in the engine compartment. Sounds like the gas cap has failed and is not venting/passing air as it should. A valve in the gas cap is set at a certain pressure rating for your vehicle and all vehicles to vent gas vapors and allow air into the tank.. One to prevent explosion due to vapor build up and two to allow a certain amount of air into the tank. This valve is defective or broken on your cap. A new cap is about 11 dollars at the local parts store.

1988 Nissan Stanza not getting gas.

have a muffler place check the catalytic converter it may be clogged and needing a new one. or if you haven't changed the timing belt you need to do it right away. since they are made of rubber and need to be changed every 70000 miles. if it's the timing belt, if it breaks you'll need a new motor. you need to look into it before that happens.

You may have frozen fuel lines. Sounds like not enough fuel is getting to the engine. You may need to bleed the system and change fuel pump, fuel filter and check the injectors
