Remove the glove box.
Cut the plastic cross brace in the glove box opening with diagonal cutters in the area shown, and discard it.

  1. Remove the filter lid (A) from the evaporator, then pull out the dust and pollen filter (B).
  2. Install the filter in the reverse order of removal. Make sure that there is no air leaking out of the evaporator.
  3. Install the glove box frame and glove box in the reverse order of removal.

How does odyssey 2003 model behave when the gear

There is no such thing as a "gear power sensor" on Hondas. If the trans filter gets clogged, which does happen from contamination, usually from the torque convertor lock up clutch failing, the trans will feel like it's in neutral. This might occur a few minutes after moving. Trans rebuild needed.

Cloged air conditioner front passenger side

Chances are it is a clogged hepa filter. There located inside the glove box. Take all the stuff out of the glove box, there is a little hatch at the back of the glove box, remove it and pull out both filters. If these are ok there is a service builten, See your GM dealer, parts are not that much and you can do it yourself. Have them run your vin. Getting back to the cabin/hepa filters, there about $75.00 at the dealer, maybe there is aftermarket available where you live Good luck Kirk fe6fc

Looking into buying a used 2003 honda odyssey with just over 100,000 miles. what maintence is required? i heard timing belt should be replaced. is this true and how much am i looking at?

For a 2003 used Honda odyssey, the following should be required:-

1. Replace the timing belt. (repair estimates at www.repairpal.com)
2. Drain the whole oil out of the engine and transmission
3. Replace the brake pads
4. Most of all run a diagnosis scan on the vehicle to detect any other possible maintenance that will be required.

Good luck and a good buy.

Take care.

Please describe how to replace a cabin air filter for a 2003 odyssey

after you take the glove box out, (if its the first time the filter has been replaced), there is a plastic part of the dash going across the evaporator case, you will need to cut this out. and unbolt the metal brace going across, behind the glove box. Its hard to explain, but when you get the glove box off, you will see what needs to be done to get the filter out. the filter cover is a vertical panel about 1.5" wide and 10"tall. the part that you need to cut is needed when the dash is made, but no longer needed when its bolted into the car.

Glove box release so I can change the hepa filter on my 2006 Honda Odyssey

The procedure for removing the cabin air filter lists to remove the glove box housing. You usually can either ....1 empty out glove box, look and see if there are two tabs (stops) on the box part that tilts out. Often times the plastic box can be squeeze in at both sides to clear the housing. This allows it to tilt all the way down and you're off. or 2- empty out the glove box and completely remove the assembly. This requires removing 4 to 6 screws on sides and likely on bottom to pull out whole housing. Once out the rest should be very obvious.
