There is a current recall about toyota corolla power windows. Something about them breaking. Call a dealer and ask them if pertains to your car. I don't know since you didn't mention the year.
Take advantage of this recall to fix your windows.

I have a 2005 PT cruiser and the power window just started going only half way up and then it stops. All other windows and the top work. What should I check? THanks

I would check the window adjustment to see that it is positioned correctly in the felt runners
next check those runners for tears in the felt that are stopping the movement
check the winding operation as the cable may be jammed at the point and need replacing

I purchased a 98 chevy lumina sedan about 6 yrs ago. at that time, the driver's side power window would only go down about half way, at the half way mark, it would continue to "try" to go...

The widow regulator is bad. I believe yours is set up on a gear system. there is a long band that is plastic, of course that will lose teeth. The reason it stops. These are not hard to replace. remove the door panel. You will see the regulator and the track. You will need some tools and a drill to remove rivets. The track will pull out, then slide the new one in. you may have to remove the window to do this. Shop rate is 1 hour + materials.

Electric windows are fine the roof gets half way

If the top is half way down that means that the trunk is open and should be touching the trunk switch to continue the process. The switch must be bad and it is inside the rear right fender close the the stop light

My window wiper works fine but always stops half up the window how can i adjust it to stop where it should mercedes c280 1994 thanks darryl

Pop the base off the wipe where is attached to wiper motor. Loosen the nut on wiper and move to the bottom and tighten. Should work properly now. Likely loose now which is why it got this way.

Electric window only goes down half way

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Pull back the weather seal. It sounds like the guide rails may be loose and snagging the window. Or your regulator may be broken (not likely)

Driver side power window won't go up.I didn't drive the car over the winter and now he window is **** half way. I can't roll it down or up.

You might have some trash in the tracks, but I bet its more like the motor is bad. It always intrigues me, but the right side window of cars seems to be the first to go. Maybe its because of the lack of use in comparison to the drivers side.

1988 Audi 90 electric windows stop working

Perhaps it is a problem for an auto electrician. 30 minutes is enough time for a built up charge to dissipate, The charge/short circuit it is causing is not enough to blow the fuse however, since it works after letting the charge clear.
There is no response at all? it doesn't go half way up then stop etc?
