Question about 1996 Chevrolet K1500
I had been driving this truck one day and the next it wouldn't start, no power (lights, radio etc.), no audible clicks of any sorts...just a dead truck. I tested the battery, starter, alternator and battery cables and the starter and battery came back bad. So I bought a new batt and starter and when I went to turn the ignition, the power came on but the engine still would not turn over. Now I'm back to square one again, no power at all in the vehicle. I need HELP!!! What can I do?
First thing I'd do is check all ground sources/straps for good clean contact at all points, especially from block or frame to firewall area, then check all fuses in panel at drivers side end of dash or wherever located on your particular vehicle, then check all fuses etc, in power distribution box under the hood, for blown or corroded contacts.
