The 1990 Chevrolet Suburban has the most common hook-end wiper arms. Locate and press the tab or button where the wiper blade is
inserted into the hook of the wiper arm and pull wiper blade out of hook.
You may have to rotate and flex the blade to make enough clearance for the hook
to pass through.
You will need new wiper blades before you can perform a wiper blade replacement project. Get your "owner's car manual" as it will tell you everything you need to know about the wipers' size and type. The manual may also give you list of brands you can choose from for you wiper blades.
Buy the correct wiper blades, make sure you have bought the entire blade and not just the rubber insert. Read the instructions properly before you begin. It will show you how to perform the wiper blade replacement.
Take the wiper arms off the windshield. You will have to remove the old wiper blades very carefully so you don't hurt yourself. Wear kitchen gloves if you don't want to get your hands dirty or cut yourself.
Push on the tab of the old wiper blades and pull them out. You can also use a small screwdriver to lift the tab.
Take the new wiper blades and insert it in the arms very carefully. Don't push too hard, but do it gently. It will easily slide itself in. You will hear a "click" sound when the entire blade has gone inside.
Wiggle or shake the new wiper blades to see they are secured properly and won't fly away when you turn them on. If all looks good, lower the wiper arms back on the windshield. And you're done!
Hello, there are different types of mounts for the wipers. Most of my Ford and Mercury products have a U looped end on the wiper arm. There is a button on the wiper and you push the plastic button and slide the wiperblade off the U bracket.
What is sometimes tricky is the wiper arm goes through and underneath the new blade. When you slide the new blade into the looped end it will lock.
Autozone will install for free and Walmart is kind of neat. Walmart will install free and you pay the same price for the blade as off the shelf.
There are other kinds of mounts. I have seen POST mounts which are simply a post on the end of the arm. But there are different size posts. The plastic clip is removed to these and the blade simply lifts off. Then reattach the clip.
Worthy of mention. Put wipers on and turn off ignition when the wiper is conveniently stopped at a place where you can easily reach them. Some wiper arms can be lifted and they will stay lifted off the glass for service.

Flat blade screwdriver (small)
Small nosed pliers
Latex or vinyl gloves
To replace wiper blades theactual action of replacing the blade is no big deal, it's the locationof the blade down below the hood that can make it difficult though.Sometimes it helps to open the hood to gain access to the wiper blades.Other times it is helpful if the wiper blade is somewhere in the motionline of wiper action. The trick is to get the wiper to stop somewherein the wiper arc. Turn the wipers to the on position and allow thewipers to start, and then shut the key off when the wiper has arrivedin a desirable position on the windshield. To replace your wiper bladesplease follow the step by step instruction below. Also, watch the How to replace wiper blades video below to gain additional information. The method in which the wiper blades are attached will vary slightly.
Step 1: With the hood closed, turn the wiperson, when the wipers are in the middle of their arc turn the key to theoff position. (Note: if this can't be done because of wiper conditionand you want to avoid scratching the windshield please open your hoodto gain access)
Step 2: Locate the mounting clips at the top pivot on the wiper blade
Step 3: Release the clip and remove the wiper arm
Step 4: Match the size of the old blade against the new blade to ensure proper fit and operation

Make sure the wiper blades are the same size as the original blades.
When replacing wiper blades not getting the blade onthe mounting pin completely allowing the wiper arm to become dislodgedand possibly causing damage to the windshield.
Using wiper blades after the blade has failed permanently damaging the windshield by craving scratches in the wiper arc.
Wiper blade can create a chattering noise when theblade is not properly balanced allowing the blade to "flop" back andforth as the wiper direction changes.

You probably already figured this out, but you have to remove the wiper arm completely in order to replace the wiper blade.
The blades are an unusual size (somewhere around 14 1/2") and I believe they are only available from a Nissan dealership. They include printed instructions in the box but just in case, this is from the official Nissan service manual:
