05 sebring with a 2.7l code po153 possible causes

The trouble code you are getting is saying that the oxygen sensor (upstream) on the left (drivers) side is slow to respond. That sensor is basically right in the exaust manifold on the left side. More than likely the cause of the problem is the sensor itself but of course to be sure some testing needs to be done. Other possible causes would be an exhaust leak, a short or open circuit in the signal and/or signal return or the vehicles computer/PCM (which isn't likely). I would clear the code and see if it returns, check for exhaust leaks on that side and if you have the proper equipment to check for an open circuit to the PCM. I'm not sure of your location but around here that sensor can range anywhere from 30 to 75 dollars depending on the brand you get. I wouldn't get a cheap one but a direct fit sensor if you're just going to go ahead and try and replace that sensor. Hope I was able to help....

The Electronic throttle control light is on. Car will crank but won't start anymore. No check engine light is on. 2007 Chrysler Sebring 2.4L

You will need to have the electronic engine control module scanned for fault codes, there will be a code even if thelight is not on.

  • The oxygen sensor is faulty
  • The wiring to the sensor is broken / frayed
  • There is an exhaust leak
If your truck is actually reading only 9 volts then you need a battery/ alternator

O2 sensors

The o2 sensor you are looking for is on the drivers side of the engine and it is the first on closest to the engine. Before the cat. I hope this is helpful.
