Let me guess, the Hazard light is the only light to the right of the dash that comes on? You can still use your temp control and radio but you cannot see the display? You are in luck, Honda did a recal on some stupid module that blew to cause that problem. It happened to me, here is the trick, call Honda USA (800 number on their website) and report the problem. They will notifiy your local dealership so when you come in it will be covered for free under the recall. MAKE SURE YOU CALL HONDA USA if you don't your dealership might try to charge you for it, costs in the neighborhood of $500! Good Luck!

Need help removing center consol to get to radio and heater controls

Its not as complicated as it looks.first of all the front and only part of the center console you need to move simply pops out with two snap in connections at the top and to mounting screws in the back lower bottom...keep in mind moving this part of center console is only for the removal and installation of heater unit...Now for the radio is also quite simple.once you have the heater unit consolek removed, the dash component and vent cover needs to be removed. If you open both car doors @ look
on both sides of your dashboards, theres two covers.remove them..on passenger is a mounting screw for the dash cover.once removed, cover has several snap in connections that will detach it from location...be careful when doig so...now you will see full radio and its mounting bolts...there u have it..hope it helps...

98 honda accord center console controls for the fan, heater and AC no longer have power

You must have obviously checked that all fuses are in working order. the A/C subpanel has just one connector. Either the cable leading to it broke, or the connector became disengaged. This is almost impossible to happen, unless the center console was taken out to service the radio or something. Taking down the center console, in order to reach the back end of the A/C subpanel is a tad complicated, but you must do it in order to inspect the connections. Look elsewhere here on fixya for disassemble instructions.

Radio and heater/ac contole light are out

Most likely this is due to a blow fuse. The fusebox is under the dash on the driver side.

How do I remove the radio on a 1987 Honda Accord LXi

Radio & Tape Player
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. If so equipped, disable the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS).
  2. Remove the floor console and the front console panel. On 1984-85 cars, if access to the back of the radio may be gained through other means, such as removing the "pocket" from the console, the console need not be removed.

Radio mounting on 1986-89 Accords

  1. Remove the ashtray and ashtray holder.
  1. On 1986-89 cars:
  2. Remove the coin box, air vents and ashtray lighting bracket.
  3. Remove the dashboard switches on the left and right of the steering wheel.
  4. Lower the steering wheel to its lowest position. Remove the dash visor. This is a large, one-piece assembly which includes the center dash trim. It's plastic; don't break it.
  5. Remove the two screws holding the radio at the rear of the unit.
  6. Carefully push the unit out the front of the dash. When access is gained, disconnect the multi-pin connector and the antenna cable from the unit. Remove the unit.
  7. Reinstall in the reverse order. Take great care not to damage the dash trim and instrument visor. Make certain the connectors are firmly and squarely installed. If applicable, be sure to enable the SRS.

Radio work with all the light but no sound, this is on 2003 Honda Accord.

because the light on the radio come on with dash lights doesn't mean the radio is working, check fuse for radio,if its good, check for power at radio connection,if you have power there see if you can see a change in stations when you turn knob,if you do make sure all connectors are plugged in radio, now go to an easy access speaker and plug in a known good speaker

The lights in the center console went out. but the radio and climate control still works. what is the problem?

your lights burnt out. I just had to replace them on mine. they cost 2.99 from autozone for 2 bulbs. You can do it all your self. When you remove trim work or molding in your car always remember that they are ALL held down by screws and you need to unscrew the screws before you pry at things. Good luck

Radio and clock dont work 2003 windstar

Recheck fuse 18 (15amp) in the central under dash fuse panel. This is the fuse that feeds all of the items you listed.Make sure it has power to it. If it does not have power to it then it maybe the accesory delay relay which it is the center top relay in that fuse box, this relay is fed by fuse 6 (30amp) in the battery junction box under the hood.

My center console lights do not work, but the radio and everything else does. 2003 honda model. I just can not see the controls.

FROM ANOTHER POST:

the fuse is the #2 fuse in the underhood fuse box. that fusebox is on the passenger side of the engine compartment and it has a black cover on it that is approximately 6" x 3"

the fuse box lid should have a list under the cover of what fuses are what. the #2 fuse is a 15 amp fuse.

if the console lights work then the problem isn't the fuse.

check the rheostat that is used to dim the dash lights. that is the same button you use to reset the trip odometer at the base of the speedometer. that knob actually turns to brighten or dim the dash lights. it may have gotten turned inadvertantly

if the console lights work and turning the rheostat makes no difference then the rheostat switch in the dash is probably bad

hope that helps
