Yes it would very expensive, $400 plus, Toyota parts are 4 times what American car parts cost.

I have a ticking noise since i baought it in 09 is there a racall or is it normal

Well, um, sort of depends on two things:

1. What "it" is. Make/model/engine

2. Better description of your "ticking noise". Is it constant? How fast? Does it speed up with driving speed?

Ticking noise coming from 1990 Chevy pickup

sometimes pieces from inside your catalitic converter break loose and make a ticking noise and would be hard to spot without the engine running

1999 toyota camry I press gas pedal to go faster and ticking noise.i let off no noise.

You may have a defective Constant velocity joint, there are four of them, have them checked, likely one of the rubber boots that keeps the graeae in the joint is torn and the joint has run dry and it is ruined from lack of lubrication and this causes noise.

My 1990 toyota 2.8 pickup ( african import) got low on oil without indication and i thought had seized. got it back to the garage and sorted out pipe ,oil indicator and refilled with oil. It started up and...

Damage has been done to the engine, the noise you hear are the piston rod bearing ( knocking lower part of engine ) you can try putting in a crank kit and have the piston rods mechin but will not last very long, will start to knock again, best bet to replace engine, good luck.

Ticking noise underneath the car approximately midway.

The sound you hear is the metal parts of your exhaust system and catalytic converter cooling down. Some cars are louder than others but the sound is perfectly normal.

My engine is making a ticking noise and it goes faster the more that I excellerate but when it is in idle it doesn't do it at all any idea what could be wrong?

Sounds like an exhaust leak from the header on the engine or a worn exhaust "donut" gasket. As you press on the accelerator, the flow of exhaust builds more pressure. With more pressure and a small leak, it will cause a tick. I'n not sure if this a solution, but I is a good starting point.

I have a 2005 dodge neon sxt, in the morning when I start it up I hear a loud knocking noise from the engine but after about 15 seconds it gets softer but is still there all day when I'm driving around.

It is probably your lifters sticking. Check your engine oil level and if thats fine, then add some oil detergent/additive that says it will "reduce engine knock and free sticky lifters" run with that additive for a couple hundred miles or until the noise gets better. then replce your oil after that without using the additive
