While driving home tonight i noticed the battery light come one and as i continued to dive the vehicle then died.

Nicole; check the alternator belt, loose, worn, is it still there and on.
If battery is new and connections are good, and belt is good, probably a bad alternator. Alternator cost $125 to $200, labor $60-$120

No power/ won't turn over.

check your battery AND the battery cables for extreme corrosion issues, also, how old is the battery? the alternator may not be charging the battery enough(should be producing about 14.2 or more volts as the alternator needs a couple of volts itself to operate properly). you might need to replace your alternator. good luck.

The battery is being drained and we cant figure out why

disconnect the big wire from alternator ovrnite and see if that helps--its common for a diode to burn--drainin the batt-----u may need to test each fuse slot for amperage draw or hav a wiggl procedure done on the wire harness----send issue to magicmechanic in orlando--hes an expert

I have a 1998 ford windstar brand new alternator and new battery all relays has been replaced im getting power to the battery but it wont charge the new alternator has been checked and its work fine some...

I'm pretty sure it's not the PCM. When you have the alternator tested is it still on the vehicle? Does everything seem to be working when the vehicle is running correctly? There are to many questions but is it possible that when the vehicle sits there is something pulling at the battery bring it down. I am a Ford electronics specialist and I have only heard of one other time in my 25+ years in doing this that the PCM has caused a charging problem and in that case it was pulling power from the battery as the vehicle sat. I'm not sure what more to say other then I didn't want you to waist your money on a new computer for the vehicle. If the case is that you may have something pulling your battery down (a draw) and if you think this may be possible, you can email me letting me know And I will be happy to give you instructions on how to test and narrow down the location of the draw. I know I didn't help but like I said I didn't want you to waist you money. Email me if need be and I will help with what I can. Am in and out all day and check my email often. Wish I could tell you more.

What Alternator does a 96 Accent has?

no the factory alternator will not have nearly enought power to operate this amp. Yes the alternator is BOSCH and it has a rated output of 75 Amps, u need at least 140 amps, any really good auto electric shop can supply a rebuilt high output alternator custom built, but it will be very expensive.

Hve you had the alternator checked.Iknow its new but you can still get faulty ones.Check all your wires are fitted correctly.Make sure there all tight and clean.Check the ground wire from the battery is tight at the engine and body of the car.

Im having trouble starting my 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder

Josh, take the battery to Sears or a large auto parts store and have them test the condition. They do it for free. A battery will play the radio or run the lights with no trouble. It takes alot of amp power to turn the starter over. After you get it started check the volts across the battery. It should be just over 12 and less than 14 volts. If its not the alternator is not chargeing your battery, replace it.
I hope this helps you and your Mitsu.
