Depends on which one u have....the front unclips under the sun visors...then the front part can fold it half....., there might be a little clip under that....if there is unclip it. then in the middle there will be 2 more clips...then the whole roof will come off....except for the back windows part..there should be 6 clips on the upper part of the plastic window.... unlcip those...and spread out the roof..now roll it up and place it in the trunk.....then u should be good!

Where are the alternator fuses on a susuki sidekick 98

It would not have an alternator fuse. I'd suggest pulling it and take it to your local parts store for testing

How1990 susuki sidekick park light repairs

old kick , all dead, every one? even the lic, plate lamp... is park
the car has like 20 park lamps.and tail lamps.
it is the largest circuit on these very simple cars.
all outside lamps and inside that glow in park are all on that same long wire (Daisey chained)
the red-yellow wire (usa colors) run this feed.
it comes off the combo park lamp switch.

so what is the answer, well if all else works ok (you never said)
then the park fuse.
the full schematic is here, every wire in car.
fuse 3 tail/dome fuse, is the fuse that runs all that.
if the dome light works then its not the fuse.
if the white wire fuse works, #3 is 12vdc, then the fuse is good
and if the white 12vdc wire makes it to the combo and is still 12vdc there, and the red-yell i s dead, then the combo switch is bad.

here is the combo and fuse 3 wiring

Im trying to install a push to start button to replace ignition switch can this be done

Don't know about the 1991 because we just bought ours today, but we asked our fantastic mechanic to install one on our 1993 Sidekick and it has worked like a hot **** for two years now. Just find a good mechanic who doesn't need to operate inside the box.

1994 1.6L Suzuki Sidekick has excessive fuel consumption. 24L/100km or 9.8 MPG. Catalytic converter has been removed by previous owner. Could this be the cause?

It could be if it is equipped with fuel injection. There would be oxygen sensors that are getting some strange readings that would effect fuel mixture. i`m not sure if a `94 would have them but would be easy to look and see.

disconnect the battery then loosen the 12mm bolt on the top front of the alternator then loosen the two 12mm bolts on the bottom of the alternator housing after thay are loose you will need to unplug a plug on the back side and loosen a 10mm nut to remove the power wire to the battery then lift out the alternator . i find the best way to get to the bottom bolts is go up from the bottom buy laying under the front of the car

Coolant leak on back side of engine. 94 susuki sidekick 4cyl 4x4

The back side of the cylinder head has metal fitting/pipe connected to a hose that goes to the heater system inside the cabin, the hose sometimes cracks off just behind the clamp holding it to the metal fitting/pipe.

I have a toyota rav 4 1998 and I need a replacement soft top. Anyone know where I can get one?

6 potential avenues to a solution:

1. You can check the salvage yards but they are hard to find in good shape.

2. The dealer can special order you one but it might cost a fair amount.

3. Another possiblitiy is to get an auto upholstry shop to fab or repair yours. They are specialists at this kind of thing.

4. Then scan ebay for parts or craigslist...but it takes continued effort.

5. I find that if I can locate a broken RAV4 softtop that has been kept out of the sun or covered you could buy it then turn around and sell it without the top or you could even part it out. A lot of effort but when parting you can usually make the entire cost of the purchase plus some and end up getting the soft top for free......

6. What you have is a very unique vehicle.....try finding another very popular model with similar softtops and find a repair solution such as Suzuki Sidekick which can be modified to suit your needs. Or someone that specializes in them then pay them to do your model too.

Many people with softtops end up in the same situation.

Turning signals and windshield wipers don't work

I had similar problem some time ago after a consult with my local garage man the problem turned out to be bad connection or worn out terminals in a box just aft of the steering wheel where the wiper and turn signal handles come out from .If you are a DIY you need to disassemble the box and try to align the terminals . It is not that much difficult .Good luck and let me know if this solved the problem .E-mail nati1133@hotmail.com.
